Survivor Visibility and Regard at a State Human Trafficking Summit
Building on critical trafficking studies (CTS) literature, this study examines how “human trafficking” is discursively constructed at a state’s annual summit. This field report examines the final project from a three-week Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Human Trafficking Awareness with over 500 participants globally. This article employs Folkman and Lazarus’s Transactional Model of Stress and Coping utilizing the visual self-narrative methodology to explore participant experiences of isolation, uncertainty, and risk during the COVID-19 pandemic.
