Seasonal Cycles and Behavioral Strategies of the Paleolithic Dwellers in Denisova Cave
A model of seasonal cycles in the subsistence strategy of Middle and Upper Pleistocene humans in and around Denisova Cave, the Anuy River valley, northwestern Altai, is proposed. Small Vertebrate Fauna from Marmot Cave in Northwestern Altai Mountains
Here we present the results of an analysis of the small vertebrate fauna—mammals and birds. Numerous bones of small animals were found during archaeological survey in Marmot Cave in the Anui River Valley, Altai Mountains. Mammalia identifi cation was carried out for 571 specimens. Beryozovka Cave
This article presents first results of research in Beryozovka cave near the village of Beryozovka in Soloneshenoe District of Altai Krai. The karst cavity was located in the wall of a deep ravine which cut through the bedrock of the right slope of the valley and extended with its mouth to the Anui River 1.5 km from the cave. The article presents the results of the study of small vertebrate bone remains from the Pleistocene deposits in the South Chamber of Denisova Cave.
