  • Transforming local chronicles into narrative maps

Open Access•Wenjie Zhen, Wanzhu Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Maps•2026

Local chronicles meticulously document regional history, but their potential for disseminating and preserving local cultural heritage has not been fully exploited. Narrative maps offer new inspiration for expressing local chronicles. Nonetheless, existing studies often lack a structured methodology for translating textual narratives into effective map designs. This study proposes a systematic workflow to transform local chronicles into narrative …

  • Serial dependence for same-category and cross-category stimuli in social attention

Wang Da, Da Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2026

  • Testing culturally relevant EQ-5D-5L bolt-ons for the Chinese general population

Open Access•Jingzhi Fan, Zhuxin Mao et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2026

  • Assessment of radiation knowledge among medical personnel in nuclear emergency preparedness

Open Access•Yanjun Xie, Xining Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Background: Radiation literacy, encompassing the understanding of basic principles, applications, risks, and protective measures related to ionizing radiation, is critical for medical personnel working in jobs that involve the use of radioactive materials or medical imaging. In the context of nuclear emergency preparedness, the level of radiation knowledge among healthcare professionals-such as doctors, nurses, and radiographers-directly influenc…

  • Identifying and developing culturally relevant EQ-5D-5L bolt-on items for Chinese population

  • EuroQol data for assessment of population health needs and instrument evaluation (EQ-DAPHNIE)

Open Access•Jeffrey Johnson, Mathieu F Janssen et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2025

The EQ-DAPHNIE project represents a significant advancement in generating large, representative, and comparable population health datasets across multiple countries. By employing precise sampling strategies, robust recruitment and data collection methods, and rigorous quality control measures, the project aims to provide a valuable resource for assessing and understanding population health and evaluating various health-related quality of life (HR…

  • Developing a quality of life framework from the perspective of laypeople

Open Access•Guangjie Zhang, Yifan Ding et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2025

The conceptual framework of the EQ-HWB is well-represented within the QoL framework. The findings support the content validity of the EQ-HWB among laypeople in the Chinese context

  • Design and implementation of data quality controls in the EQ-DAPHNIE study

Open Access•Fatima Al Sayah, Hilary Short et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2025

The quality control measures implemented throughout the EQ-DAPHNIE project effectively addressed common issues such as bot responses, speeding, and missing data, resulting in generally high-quality and representative datasets. However, variability across countries underscores the need to account for quality indicators when using the data for norm-setting or cross-country comparisons

  • Exploring subjective constructions of quality of life in patients, carers and the healthy general public

Open Access•Zhuxin Mao, Aureliano Paolo Finch et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2025

  • Institutional opening-up promotes local enterprises’ innovation

    Open Access•Zhihao Yang, Junjie Hong•ARTICLE•China Economic Quarterly…•2025•Referências: 17

The participation of foreign-invested enterprises in the formulation of national standards is taken as an opportunity to identify standards opening-up, and the impact of standards opening-up on local firms' innovation is examined. It is found that standards opening-up promotes local firms' innovation, works through collaboration between Chinese and foreign firms, market competition, and information transmission mechanism, and influences upstream …

  • Awareness and preparedness level of medical workers for radiation and nuclear emergency response

Open Access•Xinyu Xu, Yanjun Xie et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2024

Radiological science and nuclear technology have made great strides in the twenty-first century, with wide-ranging applications in various fields, including energy, medicine, and industry. However, those developments have been accompanied by the inherent risks of exposure to nuclear radiation, which is a source of concern owing to its potentially adverse effects on human health and safety and which is of particular relevance to medical personnel …

  • Validating the Well-Being of Older People (Woop) Instrument in China

Open Access•Runhua Liu, Zhuxin Mao et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Generic health-related quality of life (HRQoL) measures have been used for estimating utility value, which is then used for calculating quality-adjusted life years (QALYs). HRQoL measures may not capture many of the relevant and important non-health aspects of quality of life. The well-being of older people (WOOP) instrument was first developed in the Netherlands. This study aimed to validate this new instrument among older people in China. WOOP …

  • Do health preferences differ among Asian populations? A comparison of EQ-5D-5L discrete choice experiments data from 11 Asian studies

Open Access•Zhihao Yang, Fredrick Dermawan Purba et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2022

Following a standardized study protocol, there are still considerable differences in the modeling and relative importance results in the EQ-5D-5L DCE data among 11 Asian studies. These findings advocate the use of local value set for calculating health state utility

  • Censoring in the time trade-off valuation of worse-than-dead EQ-5D-5L health states
