Menée sur une superficie de 34 000 mètres carrés, sur un rebord de plateau dominant un méandre de l’Aulne, une fouille préventive sur le site de Penn ar Roz à Châteaulin (Finistère) a livré une quantité importante de données archéologiques couvrant une large chronologie.
