Exclusion from the Nation
Using data from the 2007 survey on "Realms of Exclusion in Poland" this article examines Poles' attitudes toward immigrants and ethnic minorities, particularly Roma, Jews, Vietnamese, and Ukrainians. The analysis explores the relationship between the criteria of inclusion of foreigners in the Polish nation and opinions on the reasons for their exclusion. It recalls traditions of studying emotions from the classics of sociology and discusses why those traditions were forgotten for several decades.
