Association between low levels of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D and breast cancer risk
Objective To determine if blood levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25-D) or its active metabolite, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (1,25-D), are lower in women at the time of first diagnosis of breast cancer than in comparable women without breast cancer. This communication discusses more than a decade of developments in the measurements of attitudes toward physicians and medical care. Particular emphasis is given to a scale first reported in 1970 and to a 1981 publication attempting to validate this scale. Determinants of Physician Utilization
The 495 residents in a probability sample of 1G0 households in a low-income urban section of Raleigh, N. C. were interviewed to identify the determinants of physician utilization in response to illness. A discriminant function analysis was used with data on 231 persons who experienced 396 symptom-complexes.
