  • Independence of Ambulation and Defecation in a Low-Frigtening Open Field, Manifested in a Generational Study

Open Access•M A Martí I Carbonell, María Assumpcio Martí Carbonell et al.•ARTICLE•Quaderns de Psicologia•2009

The main purpose of the present paper has been to make evident that ambulation and defecation scores in a low-frigtening open field are independent. Subjects with highest and lowest expression of the ambulation character are selected. Mating like with like will tend to increase the mean score in subsequent generations giving two lines: high and low ambulator ones. The effect of ambulation upon the leve1 of defecation is analized. The results show…

  • Human Extraversion and Ambulation in Rats

    Open Access•Adriana Garau I Florit•ARTICLE•Quaderns de Psicologia•2009

In this paper we are trying to prove whether the open field ambulation of the rat can be considered as a good index of extraversion behavior. Our findings reveal that high open field ambulation is associated with other behaviors related to extraversion one. Furthermore they reveal that «changes» in measure (light-darkness test) is the best index of extraversion
