Somatotype and blood pressure of rural South African children aged 6–13 years
A significant association exists between BP and BMI, and ectomorphy components even after being adjusted for age, gender and height. The need to manage hypertensive individuals is evident in this sample to combat this chronic disease from an early age. Follow-up studies should investigate the relationship between BP and the dietary intake of these children

The aim of this work was to study the effect of hypoxic stress on the physical growth of prepubertal Bolivian boys (10-11.5 years of age) of the same socioeconomic and nutritional conditions. Comparative study of anthropometric measurements of the same subjects in two different institutes
The objectivity of several anthropometric measurements were tested in two institutes on the same subjects. In many cases systematic differences are to be expected: 1. Girth measurements tend to differences in the same direction. 2. The comparability of skeletal measurements is often uncertain; some measurements tend to give lower, other ones higher figures.
