A Two-Year Evaluation of the Wood Rock Youth Development Project
The efficacy of a school-based initiative in reducing and/or preventing alcohol, tobacco, and drug (ATD) use in “at-risk” youth was examined. This evaluation represents a final report on the Woodrock Youth Development Project (YDP). The Woodrock Youth Development Project (YDP) aims to reduce alcohol tobacco, and drug (ATOD) use among adolescents. The goal of Across Ages is to demonstrate the effectiveness of a comprehensive, intergenerational mentoring approach to drug prevention for high-risk middle school students. The core of the project is the involvement of older adults (55+) as mentors to the students.
