  • The exploitation of marine resources at Saruq al‐Hadid

Open Access•James Roberts, Lauren Weeks et al.•ARTICLE•Arabian archaeology and epigraphy•2019•Citada por: 3•Referências: 11

Marine resources were an integral and consistent component of subsistence strategies employed in south‐eastern Arabia throughout late prehistory. Of particular interest is the movement of these resources from the coast to interior sites and the implications of this movement for transhumance and trade in the region during this period. Marine species were frequently identified in the faunal assemblage from the inland site of Saruq al‐Hadid, dating …

  • Saruq al-Hadid

    Lauren Weeks, C M Cable et al.•ARTICLE•World Archaeology•2019•Citada por: 19•Referências: 53

Open Access•James Roberts, Lauren Weeks et al.•ARTICLE•Arabian archaeology and epigraphy•2018•Citada por: 6•Referências: 27

In this paper we present the results of analysis of animal bone recently excavated from Saruq al‐Hadid, a late prehistoric (2200–800 BC ) site located in the desert interior of the UAE . Wild terrestrial animals, …
