Identifying Key Moments in Type 2 Diabetes Management
OBJECTIVE: For people with type 2 diabetes who are overweight, weight loss increases the likelihood of achieving diabetes remission. The aim here was to draw on the experiences of people living with type 2 diabetes and coaches who deliver type 2 diabetes prevention and remission programmes. VCSE organisations can play a crucial role in the provision of support for self-harm, however, pathways into these services remain complex and links between statutory and non-statutory services need to be strengthened. The launch in December 2016 of the Radio Garden, an output of the EU-funded Transnational Radio Encounters (TRE) project, attracted a social media storm and hundreds of millions of page views. Digital archives of women's radio programming document histories of feminist activism across different eras in multiple global contexts. Why do women attend late for antenatal booking? A qualitative interview study exploring the perspectives of service users and stakeholders
Introduction Delayed access to antenatal care (‘late booking’) has been linked to increased mortality and morbidity for mother and baby. The Confidential Enquiry into Maternal Deaths in the UK (2007) found that 17% of the women who died from Direct or Indirect causes booked for maternity care after 22 weeks gestation, had missed >4 routine antenatal visits or didn't seek care at all.
