Estimating the percentage and number of people with indications for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) within two key populations, Canada, 2021
In Canada, the estimated number of people with PrEP indications among GBMSM and PWID far exceeded documented levels of use. Uptake of PrEP was lower among PWID compared to GBMSM. Efforts to improve PrEP access and uptake could help reduce HIV transmission in Canada

In-school acquisition of COVID-19 was uncommon during the study period. Risk factors were identified in order to support the implementation of mitigation strategies that can reduce transmission further

Sexual health service clients in BC with 2+ partners during the initial phases of BC's pandemic used strategies to reduce their risk of COVID-19 infection during sex. Our study provides support for a harm reduction approach to guidance on COVID-19 risk during sex, and highlights the need for further research on stigma related to having sex during the COVID-19 pandemic
Consistent Provisions Mitigate Exposure to Sexual Risk and HIV Among Young Adolescents in South Africa
Exposure to sexual risk in early adolescence strongly predicts HIV infection, yet evidence for prevention in young adolescents is limited. We pooled data from two longitudinal South African surveys, with adolescents unexposed to sexual risk at baseline (n = 3662). This paper focuses on dissemination of the healthy schools (HS) approach in the province of Quebec, Canada. Dissemination aims at raising awareness about HS and promoting its adhesion among actors concerned with youth health in school.
