Cloud radiative effect (CRE) is crucial for the development of tropical cyclones (TCs). This study investigates the impact of cloud radiation on TC seeds and TCs in an aquaplanet model by tuning ‘threshold diameter to convert cloud ice particles to snow’ (DCS).
