Thomas Rowcroft's Testimony and the 'Botany Bay' Debate
John Ritchie is right to think that what we now need in the 'Botany Bay' debate is more evidence rather than more 'plausible or unsubstantiated hypotheses', but we should be cautious in our use of the Rowcroft paragraphs he publishes.1 As he says, these paragraphs do seem 'rich in implications'.
