Pryor Stemmed
One of the late Paleo-Indian cultural groups in the Bighorn-Pryor Mountains area of southern Montana and northern Wyoming is characterized by a lanceolate projectile point with a distinctive alternate beveling on blade edges. Present evidence indicates a settlement pattern restricted to the mountains and foothills and an intense hunting and gathering subsistence strategy. They appear also to have been separate from contemporary cultural groups on…
Arizona Radiocarbon Dates VIII
The carbon isotopic analyses reported here covers the period since the last list (Haynes et al. , 1967) until summer 1969. All results relating to secular C 14 fluctuations in atmospheric CO 2 are now published separately (Damon et al. , 1970). Sample preparation and counting procedures remain essentially unchanged since completion of our conversion to CO 2 in 1960. All δ C 13 values are reported relative to PDB and all C 14 dates, unless otherwi…

Arizona Radiocarbon Dates VII
The C 14 measurements reported here were made in this laboratory between November 15, 1965 and June 15, 1966. Sample descriptions are classified as follows: I. Geochemical Samples II. Geologic-Paleoclimatic Samples III. Early Man-Alluvial Stratigraphy Samples IV. Archaeologic Samples
Arizona Radiocarbon Dates VI
The C 14 measurements reported here were made in this laboratory between November 1, 1963 and November 15, 1965. Sample descriptions are classified as follows: I. Geochemical Samples II. Geologic-Paleoclimatic Samples III. Early Man-Alluvial Stratigraphy Samples IV. Archaeologic Samples
The Sister’s Hill Site And Its Bearing On The Wyoming Postglacial Alluvial Chronology
Alluvial sediments exposed at the Sister’s Hill Site near Buffalo, Johnson County, Wyoming shed new light on the stratigraphy of the Ucros s and Kaycee formations and reveal that another stratigraphic unit occurs between these formations in some places. At the Sister’s Hill Site, Hell Gap artifacts occur in the lower part of the new unit and in association with a Carbon-14 date of 9650 B. P
