Laodike (Laodice), wife of Antiochos II
Laodike fought after the death of her husband, Antiochos II, against his second wife Berenike (Third Syrian War or Laodicean War). After Berenike and her son had been eliminated, Laodike seems to have forced her son Seleukos II to accept his little brother Antiochos Hierax as co‐regent. The circumstances of her death are unknown.

Laodike, wife of Anxtiochos II
Laodike (dates of birth and death unknown) was the daughter of Achaios according to Porphyry ( FGrH 260 F 32.6; for Laodike as daughter of Antiochos I Soter, see Polyaenus Stmt . 8.50) and married the future king Antiochos II Theos, probably in 266 BCE .
Antiochos IV Epiphanes
Antiochos IV (ca. 210–164), born Mithridates, marks a turning point in Seleucid history by adopting the epitheta Theos Epiphanes Nikephoros. At one end of the spectrum, he was the first and last Seleucid king who was able to defeat the Ptolemies and conquer all Egypt; at the other end, the Maccabean revolt ( see Maccabees, Books of which led to the end of Seleucid rule in southern Syria, started during his reign.
