  • Age Differences in Forced and Free Choice Dimensional Responding

    Richard B May, G Alfred Forsyth•ARTICLE•The Journal of General Psychology•1980•Referências: 1

A dimensional scaling study was carried out with 180 boys and girls between the ags of 4 and 11 years. The mean logical responses to scaling cards designed to assess dimensional availability was compared with the number of preference responses for luminance, orientation, and size dimensions in each of five age groups. The results suggest that younger children ages 4 and 5 years consistently respond unidimensionally, making mostly luminance respon…

  • Judgment of Emotion in Human Face Stimuli

Richard I Kushner, G Alfred Forsyth•ARTICLE•The Journal of General Psychology•1977

Comparative judgments of the pleasure and anger dissimilarity between 80 face pairs were made by 100 male and female college students. The 80 face-pair stimuli were constructed by a systematic interchanging and deletion of four regions for anger and neutral face poses and for pleasure and neutral face poses. An individual differences analysis of the scaling data resulted in five like-perceiving subgroups of Ss. These subgroups were characterized …
