Urban resilience through progressive governance
This article aims to examine how a metropolis like Seoul could be resilient to imminent environmental crisis in the era of climate change. To do so, it conducts a case review of the ‘One Less Nuclear Power Plant’ (OLNPP) policy adopted under the progressive leadership of Mayor Park Won-soon (2011–). The Current Status of Green Growth in Korea
The Republic of Korea's economy has been one of the economic marvels of the last few decades, growing rapidly and steadily, with few downturns. This paper is a critical analysis of the political conflicts behind the restoration of the urban stream called'Cheonggyecheon' in Seoul. Predicated upon a regulationist reformulation of postfordism, this paper attempts to explore the political economy of Korea's recent industrial restructuring which has led to a postfordist-like regime of accumulation.
