  • Designing stable ride-sharing for commuting trip chain with role flexibility

Open Access•Zixuan Peng, Wensi Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Transportation•2026

In ride-sharing, fixing the roles of commuters with vehicles could come at an opportunity of missed balance between riders and drivers. The decisions made by commuters with vehicles about roles are related to both to-work travel and return-home travel. Commuters may choose not to drive when they have a confirmed ride back home. This study designs a stable ride-sharing model with role flexibility for the commuting trip chain. The preferences of co…

  • Job autonomy mediates the association between professional training and service quality among geriatric social workers

    Zixuan Peng, Ziyu Xu•ARTICLE•Educational Gerontology•2025

This study investigated the relationship between participation in professional training and service quality among geriatric social workers, as well as the underlying mechanism that influenced this relationship. Linear regression and mediation analysis were conducted to examine the association and the underlying mechanism, using data from 2517 geriatric social workers across 55 cities in China. Participation in one additional professional training…

  • Modelling nonlinear moderation effects with local structural equation modelling ( LSEM )

Open Access•Tuo Liu, R Ding et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of Psychology•2025

Understanding the differential strength of effects in the presence of a third variable, known as a moderation effect, is a common research goal in many psychological and behavioural science fields. If structural equation modelling is applied to test effects of interest, the investigation of differential strength of effects will typically ask how parameters of a latent variable model are influenced by categorical or continuous moderators, such as …

  • The cream-skimming behaviors of tertiary hospitals under medical alliances

Open Access•Zixuan Peng, Xu Chen et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal for Equity…•2025

This study demonstrated that tertiary hospitals "siphoned-off" outpatients with public health insurance coverage from primary care facilities. Outpatients who were older, were male, with chronic diseases, and with public health insurance coverage were more likely to experience not only higher referral rates but poorer quality of outpatient care after being referred from tertiary hospitals to primary care facilities. Tailored policies are required…

  • A multi-case study of the vertically integrated health-care at county-level in rural China

Open Access•Wenhui Xu, Li Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2024

Background: In contrast to the Grading Diagnosis and Treatment System (GDTS), Vertically Integrated Health-care at County-level (VIHC) is a strategic policy in rural China. This research intends to analyze the shift in governance paradigm with regard to the adjustment of the power structure and interest relationships among various participants, using the building of VIHC as a cut-in point. Methods: We carry out a multi-case study to investigate t…

  • The contribution of alternative types of care on life satisfaction among disabled older persons in China

    Open Access•Hongli Fan, Rui Qi et al.•ARTICLE•Ageing and Society•2024•Citada por: 1•Referências: 30

Long-term care given to disabled older adults takes many forms, with each impacting life satisfaction through different ways. Drawing data from the 2011–2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey, this article explores the effects of various care types on life satisfaction, with a particular focus on disabled older persons. Estimates derived from a fixed effects model with propensity score matching show that compared with formal care, i…

  • What motivates individuals to share information with governments when adopting health technologies during the Covid-19 pandemic

Open Access•Zixuan Peng, Prossy Kiddu Namyalo et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

This study revealed the seemingly paradoxical behavior of individuals who perceived high risks of sharing information and a sense of fatigue toward privacy issues yet continued to be willing to share their information with their governments when adopting health technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic. This work highlighted significant differential motivations for sharing information with governments when using health technologies during a pande…

  • To what extent do young chinese elites comply with Covid-19 prevention and control measures

    Open Access•Huang Yuan-yuan, Hua Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

This study found that young elites in China had high policy compliance during the COVID-19 pandemic. These young elites' compliance behaviour was driven by their sense of social responsibility and trust in government rather than the fear of being infected and the fear of being punished as a result of violating the regulations. We suggest that in the context of managing health crises, in stead of introducing punitive measures to enforce citizens t…

  • Factors Influencing the Accessibility and Reliability of Health Information in the Face of the Covid-19 Outbreak—A Study in Rural China

Open Access•Li Zhu, Zixuan Peng et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2021

Introduction: Rural residents have been shown to have limited access to reliable health information and therefore may be at higher risks for the adverse health effects of the COVID-19. The aim of this research is 2-fold: (1) to explore the impacts of demographic factors on the accessibility of health information; and (2) to assess the impacts of information channels on the reliability of health information accessed by rural residents in China dur…

  • The impacts of health insurance on financial strain for people with chronic diseases

    Open Access•Zixuan Peng, Li Zhu•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2021

Public health insurance has the potential to reduce the outpatient financial strain for people with chronic diseases. Private health insurance was identified as a positive predictor of inpatient financial strain for people with chronic diseases. Policy should be proposed to promote the capacity of public health insurance and explore the potential effects of private health insurance on solving the inpatient financial barriers faced by people with …

  • Research status and future of hydro-related sustainable complementary multi-energy power generation

Open Access•Zixuan Peng, Xudong Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Futures•2021

Due to the increased awareness of environmental protection and the possible pollution caused by thermal power generation, research on hydro-related multi-energy complementary power generation has emerged. In this article, we used literature analysis software to analyze the relevant literature of our research object to fully understand its research status. Results show that the use of hydro-related multi-energy power generation is the current rese…

Open Access•Zixuan Peng, Wenxuan Shan et al.•ARTICLE•Transportation•2020

  • What Are the Determinants of the Decision to Purchase Private Health Insurance in China

Open Access•Guangsheng Wan, Zixuan Peng et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2020

The objective of this study was to assess the determinants of the decision to purchase private health insurance (PHI) in China. Nationally representative data from the fourth wave of the China Household Finance Survey from 2017 were used, and the dataset comprised 105,691 individuals aged 18 years or older. The Andersen health services utilization model was used to inform the research. Chi-square tests and logistic regression analyses were used t…

  • Combining Resource, Structure and Institutional Environment

Open Access•Li Zhu, Zixuan Peng et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2019

Integrated healthcare has received considerable attention and has developed into the highly important health policy known as Integrated Healthcare in County (IHC) against the background of the Grading Diagnosis and Treatment System (GDTS) in rural China. However, the causal conditions under which different integrated health-care modes might be selected are poorly understood, particularly in the context of China's authoritarian regime. This study …

  • An Improved Shapley Value Method for a Green Supply Chain Income Distribution Mechanism

Open Access•Zhongwen Xu, Zixuan Peng et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2018

Low-carbon development and environmental remediation are key factors for green resource-based supply chains in China. With this aim in mind, by applying game theory under uncertain market demand, this paper incorporates low-carbon development and environmental remediation into a resource-based supply chain coordination model for decentralized and centralized markets. The results show that a centralized market can lead to improvement in total prof…
