  • Assessing adaptive port resilience through AIS trajectories

Open Access•Chunzhu Wei, Xufeng Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Transport Policy•2026

  • Assessing context-dependent effectiveness of heat adaptation through human mobility under different heatwave regimes

Open Access•Haiyan Liu, Siqin Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2026

  • Resilience analysis of global agricultural trade

Open Access•Chunzhu Wei, Xufeng Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Environment and Planning B Urban…•2024

This study examined the transport network of global marine dry bulk carriers for agricultural trade during the period from 2018 to 2021. Firstly, the resilience of agricultural trade network is noteworthy throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Agricultural trade initially plunged by 10.15% from 2019 to 2020 and bounced by a remarkable 11.45% in 2021, ultimately restoring trade volumes to the average level observed in the pre-pandemic year of 2019. How…

  • Key Factors Driving Competitiveness Between Bulk Cargo Ports

    Open Access•Fujin Ye, Yaqi Xiao et al.•ARTICLE•Urban Science•2024•Referências: 8

This study examines the role of bulk cargo ports in improving supply chain efficiency within the Bohai Rim port cluster in China, addressing a gap in the research that has primarily focused on container ports. By analyzing 13 ports in the cluster through the shiftrate model and network analysis, this research aims to understand their adaptation to changing trade patterns and economic conditions. The Bohai Rim is a key hub for four major bulk carg…

  • After the pandemic

Open Access•Chunzhu Wei, Mo Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2023

The COVID-19 lockdowns have transitioned to a new normal and triggered commodity supply disruption and trade uncertainty, yet little is known about the seafood trade resilience of developing and developed countries amid pandemic-related shocks. Here, employing a newly developed geographical transition-net model, we simulate a set of idealized lockdown scenarios in a real-world seafood network. The results show that (1) even if restrictions from r…

  • Relationship between urban landscape structure and land surface temperature

Open Access•Liang Zhou, Fengning Hu et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2022

  • Pixel-Wise vs. Object-Based Impervious Surface Analysis from Remote Sensing

    Open Access•Chunzhu Wei, Thomas Blaschke•ARTICLE•Urban Science•2018•Citada por: 1•Referências: 1

Impervious surface areas (ISA) are heavily influenced by urban structure and related structural features. We examined the effects of object-based impervious surface spatial pattern analysis on land surface temperature and population density in Guangzhou, China, in comparison to classic per-pixel analyses. An object-based support vector machine (SVM) and a linear spectral mixture analysis (LSMA) were integrated to estimate ISA fraction using image…

  • Measuring urban agglomeration using a city-scale dasymetric population map

    Open Access•Chunzhu Wei, Hannes Taubenböck et al.•ARTICLE•Habitat International•2017•Citada por: 6•Referências: 46

The rates of urbanization and increase in urban sprawl that have occurred in China over the past thirty years have been unprecedented. This article presents a new city-scale dasymetric modelling approach that incorporates historical census data for 28 cities in the Pearl River Delta area of southern China. It combines Landsat imagery (from 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015) with a ‘limiting variable’ estimation algorithm to generate a gridded estimate o…

  • Local Geographic Variation of Public Services Inequality

    Open Access•Chunzhu Wei, Pablo Cabrera-Barona et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2016

This study aims to explore the effect of the neighborhood scale when estimating public services inequality based on the aggregation of social, environmental, and health-related indicators. Inequality analyses were carried out at three neighborhood scales: the original census blocks and two aggregated neighborhood units generated by the spatial "k"luster analysis by the tree edge removal (SKATER) algorithm and the self-organizing map (SOM) algorit…
