The Birthing Doll of Shaman Ynikа
The article examines a cult item of the Forest Nenets — the birthing doll of the Pyak clan, which was acquired by the MAE RAS in 2024. The study analyzes the typological characteristics of the doll, which determine its place in the Nenets worldview, and the reasons for its transfer to the museum, which reflects the state of the ethnicity of modern Nenets.
