  • Holocene climate events and associated land use changes in the eastern coast of India

    Open Access•Rayees Ahmad Shah, Imran Khan et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2022•Citada por: 1•Referências: 13

The Holocene arid events and related societal responses are important scientific inquiries due to concerns about their reoccurrences in the future. In the Indian subcontinent, significant number of studies have focussed on understanding the Holocene aridification events at 8.2 and 4.2 ka. Despite these studies, high resolution palaeoclimatic records from the eastern India during Holocene, particularly around the above-mentioned aridification even…

  • Climate-induced denudational changes during the Little Ice Age inferred from 10Be (meteoric)/9Be ratio

Open Access•Chinmay Dash, Soumya Prakash Dhal et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2021

  • Fluvial response to Late Quaternary sea level changes along the Mahanadi delta, east coast of India

    Open Access•Chinmay Dash, Manoj K Jaiswal et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2020

  • Holocene palaeoenvironmental records from the high-altitude Wular Lake, Western Himalayas

    Open Access•Rayees Ahmad Shah, Hema Achyuthan et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2020•Citada por: 4•Referências: 12

We present a comprehensive record of Holocene (11,590–628 cal. yr BP) climate and hydrographic changes around the Wular Lake located in Kashmir Valley, India. Based on the multi-proxy investigations, we have identified three phases of wet climate conditions that prevailed from the commencement of the Holocene Epoch – 9000 cal. yr BP, 8100–6650 cal. yr BP and 6350–5000 cal. yr BP, whereas periods of dry climate were observed during 9000–8100 cal. …
