The Impact of Polluters' Cleanup on Land Values
This study utilizes geocoded land transaction data and information on industrial polluting firms to examine the impact of pollution‐intensive firm cleanup on land values in China. Our findings reveal that land parcels with cleanup of at least one heavy polluting enterprise within a 2 km radius experienced a 15.2% increase in land prices compared to those without cleanup. This effect is more pronounced for parcels situated further from the central…

The relationship between self-efficacy and error orientation of nursing students during clinical internships
Background: Nursing students often make clinical errors due to their limited clinical experience and their orientation toward errors, revealing their attitude and behavioral tendencies regarding nursing errors. Understanding how self-efficacy, motivation, and a sense of security influence the error orientation of nursing students is important for developing strategies to enhance their error orientation. Objectives: This study aimed to explore the…
The evolution of transport networks and the regional water environment
We investigate empirically the role of an evolving high-speed rail (HSR) network in improving the regional water environment via industry agglomeration. We use Graph Theory to construct a data set reflecting a continuous evolution of cities’ accessibility to the HSR network. We find that cities with higher degree and closeness centralities in the HSR network tend to have less industrial water pollution. The reallocation of a high-skilled labour f…
The role of transportation speed in facilitating high skilled teamwork across cities
Accuracy and efficiency in simulating equilibrium land-use patterns for self-organizing cities
Lucas and Rossi-Hansberg (L&RH) (2002, Econometrica , 70: 1445–1476) and Fujita and Ogawa (F&O) (1982, Regional Science and Urban Economics , 12: 161–196, 1989, Environment and Planning A , 21: 363–374) develop urban models in which economic activity self-organizes due to spillovers in production. However, F&O (1982, Regional Science and Urban Economics , 12: 161–196, 1989, Environment and Planning A , 21: 363–374) show that rents and employment …
