  • Changes in the Southern Urals environment

    Open Access•А В Масленникова, Anna V Maslennikova et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2026

Palaeoenvironmental studies of the Southern Ural provide a link between the Holocene records of Europe and Asia, and the steppe and forest zones of the continent. Owing to a lack of well-dated Holocene sequences and the strong influence of local factors, the overall pattern of Holocene environmental changes in the Southern Ural forest zone is still a matter of debate. To solve this problem, Lake Turgoyak, which is influenced to a minimum extent b…

  • Holocene environments in the Middle Urals

    Open Access•А В Масленникова•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2022

  • Lakes ecosystem response to Holocene climate changes and human impact in the Southern Urals

    Open Access•А В Масленникова, Anna Valer’evna Maslennikova et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2016•Citada por: 1•Referências: 3

Major changes in the Holocene were identified based on a diatom and geochemical analysis of sediment cores from Lakes Ufimskoe and Syrytkul (the Southern Urals). The Lake Ufimskoe ecosystem in the Central mountain area is identified to be highly sensitive to variations in temperature. Meanwhile, Lake Syrytkul is more responsive to climate aridization because of its limnological characteristics and less precipitation in the piedmont area. Climate …
