A Phone Consultation Call Line to Support SBIRT in Pediatric Primary Care
We found that both a statewide consultation call line and virtual counseling to support SBIRT in pediatric primary care were feasible. The majority of consultations resulted in recommendations for treatment in primary care

Use of Health Services by Black Children According to Payment Mechanism
The use patterns of approximately 2,600 black children, categorized according to type of insurance (Medicaid, private health insurance or no insurance), were analyzed. All children were enrolled in an urban pediatric primary care program that attempted to increase access to health care by poor children. Three hundred ninety-eight patients treated in the emergency room for non-urgent complaints who stated that they had no regular source of primary medical care were referred to one of several medical care centers in the area. Overall, 34 per cent of such patients complied with the referral.
