The author was visiting among the Mohaves when word was received that a near relative of the hostess had died in an accident. The author assisted in some of the preparations and was invited to observe the total dignified ceremony which lasted for over 48 hours, terminating with the cremation of the deceased along with all of his property and with gifts from associates
