Normative folk psychology and decision theory
Our aim in this paper is to explore two possible directions of interaction between normative folk psychology and decision theory. In one direction, folk psychology plays a regulative role that constrains practical decision‐making. In the other direction, decision theory provides novel tools and norms that shape folk psychology. Arrestin-2 and G Protein-coupled Receptor Kinase 5 Interact with NFκB1 p105 and Negatively Regulate Lipopolysaccharide-stimulated ERK1/2 Activation in Macrophages
Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are a recently described receptor class involved in the regulation of innate and adaptive immunity. Here, we demonstrate that arrestin-2 and GRK5 (G protein-coupled receptor kinase 5), proteins that regulate G protein-coupled receptor signaling, play a negative role in TLR4 signaling in Raw264.7 macrophages. We find that lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced ERK1/2 phosphorylation is significantly enhanced in arrestin-2 and …

J.W. Bengough was part of a community of late nineteenth-century Toronto social reformers who shared a common project of ‘regenerating’ society by laying the foundations for a Christian republic. This project of social and moral reform was integral to the vision of English Canadian nationalism articulated by Bengough in the comic paper Grip .
