Locus of Control across the Adult Lifespan
A relatively homogeneous sample of 655 college alumni was used to examine differences in locus of control as a function of age. The mean score on the Adult Nowicki-Strickland Internal-External Locus of Control Scale was significantly higher (more external) for those 65 yr. of age and older ( M = 8.61) than for the younger adults ( M = 7.14).
