  • Do Migrants Receive Tuberculosis Education in China? Evidence From the China Migrants Dynamic Survey

Open Access•Zheng Zhu, Mengdi Guo et al.•ARTICLE•Health Education & Behavior•2023

BACKGROUND: Migrants are the key population for tuberculosis (TB) transmission in China. However, it remains unknown how many migrants have received TB education and through what means. • Re-examining Jane Jacobs’ doctrine using new urban data in Hong Kong

Open Access•Jianxiang Huang, Yuming Cui et al.•ARTICLE•Environment and Planning B Urban…•2023

Jacobs’ theory has been used widely as a reference point in case study research and policy and design prescriptions. We found five studies that attempted to test it more formally, using various perf…

  • Assessing psychological symptom networks related to HIV-positive duration among people living with HIV

Zheng Zhu, Mengdi Guo et al.•ARTICLE•AIDS Care•2022

This study aims to explore and visualize relationships among multiple psychological symptoms among people living with HIV (PLWH) with different HIV-positive durations and to compare centrality indices and densities of psychological symptom networks. We used subsets of data collected from five designated HIV/AIDS hospitals in China. Networks were constructed among 16 psychological symptoms. Centrality properties, including strength and closeness, …

  • Perceived discrimination and cognitive function in middle-aged and older adults living with HIV in China

Zheng Zhu, Yan Hu et al.•ARTICLE•AIDS Care•2019

Middle-aged and older adults with HIV experience double discrimination and cognitive impairment due to both their HIV status and their age. However, the relationship between perceived discrimination and self-reported cognitive ability in middle-aged and older people living with HIV (PLWH) is less clear. We measured self-reported perceived discrimination and cognitive ability using the Expanded Everyday Discrimination Scale and the subscale of the…

  • Age and regional disparity in HIV education among migrants in China

Open Access•Zheng Zhu, Mengdi Guo et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal for Equity…•2019

The study showed significant regional disparities among migrants in China. More HIV resources need to be allocated to regions with large-scale floating populations, such as the east-coast region. Providing multiple options, including both new and traditional media, for both young and elderly migrants is essential. HIV education should be tailored to the age of migrants with low educational and income levels
