Original Memoirs of Apparitions & Spirits in Wales’ ( c .1738)
The folkloric anecdotes collated by the Rev. Edmund Jones (1702–93) constitute our richest surviving source material on supernatural beliefs in eighteenth-century Wales. The Reverend Edmund Jones (1702–1793), an Independent preacher from north-west Monmouthshire, is best known for his works on apparitions, fairies, and ghosts and a notable history of his birth parish.
