Mechanisms for stimulating facility quality improvement
Tanzania launched the nationwide Star Rating Assessment in 2015 and has implemented it as a cornerstone of its national quality improvement program. We use variation in assessment results to explore mechanisms through which facilities improve quality. Socioeconomic and national disparities in disability distribution among population in five East African countries
This study highlighted a significant disability prevalence in EACs. Its associated factors included female gender, poorer economic households, rural areas and separation. There was interaction of age and education level on influencing disability. These findings emphasize the need for targeted interventions and further research into underlying mechanisms to improve support systems for vulnerable populations

This study highlights significant disability prevalence in Tanzania, with older age, female gender, higher education, wealth, and marital separation as key risk factors for disability. Accurate disease diagnosis relies on a well-organized and reliable laboratory system. Aflatoxicosis outbreak and its associated factors in Kiteto, Chemba and Kondoa Districts, Tanzania
Tanzania had experienced hundreds of cases of aflatoxicosis in the districts of Kiteto, Chemba, and Kondoa for the three consecutive years since 2016. Cases may end up with liver cancer. Aflatoxin-induced liver cancer had resulted in the demise of roughly three persons per 100,000 in the country during the same year, 2016.
