Efficacy and safety of intermittent theta-burst stimulation versus continuous theta-burst stimulation for major depressive disorder and bipolar depression
Among the limited number of available studies, the efficacy and safety of daily or accelerated iTBS compared to daily or accelerated cTBS in patients with MDD or BD were uncertain. Future research with larger sample sizes and standardized assessments is essential to confirm these findings
Risk factors for electroconvulsive therapy-induced fever
This study found a relatively low prevalence of ECT-induced fever. Paliperidone was identified as a risk factor, while quetiapine had a protective effect. Etomidate was not significantly associated with ECT-induced fever in patients with MMD
A comparison of the antianhedonic effects of repeated ketamine infusions in melancholic and non-melancholic depression
After six ketamine infusions, the improvement of anhedonic symptoms was found in both patients with melancholic and non-melancholic depression, and the efficacy was similar in both groups
Gender differences in the antianhedonic effects of repeated ketamine infusions in patients with depression
The rates of antianhedonic response and remission to multiple ketamine infusions for the treatment of depression were similar between males and females. These findings should be verified by future studies, preferably randomized controlled trials (RCTs)
