Salmonella Infantis has become one of the sero-varieties most frequently referred to the INS, which includes ESBLproducing multidrug-resistant strains with resistance to quinolones. Finally, the relevance of next generation sequencing is reasserted in the characterization of new variants of pathogens that are important for public health, and their potential use in antimicrobial resistance surveillance systems
