An Unusual Burial at Pyatiletka-1 Mound 6, Northern Salair Ridge
This article presents the results of a multidisciplinary analysis of materials from an atypical burial beneath mound 6 at Pyatiletka-1 in the Novosibirsk Region. A complete description of the earth-and-timber structure above the burial chamber and of the chamber itself is provided. The deceased person’s position is described. This article discusses technical and technological aspects of pottery from the Karym stage of the Nizhneobskaya culture, discovered at the Barsov Gorodok II/6, II/7, and II/10 fortified settlements. Technical and technological analysis was conducted on four vessels with graphical images and one piece of utensil with handles from the settlement of Kizhirovo. A pectoral cross was found in 2025 in the northern part of the Salair Ridge in Maslyanino District of Novosibirsk Region. According to V.I. The article presents the results of an analysis of the technology used to create ceramics from the Kulaika culture at the Sarovka hillfort site. Potters utilized iron-enriched clays exhibiting varying degrees of sand content and different natural impurities, allowing for identification of six main types of raw materials. It is a structure consisting of a ditch encircling the presumed sacral space, and a system of pits containing non-utilitarian artifacts.
