Cognitive and Affective Reactions When Facing an Additional Delay While Waiting in Line
The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of self-consciousness disposition on the cognitive and affective reactions of consumers when facing a delay. The study used written scenarios to investigate subjects' reactions while waiting with strangers in line at the movie theater. Results indicated that when compared with low public subjects, high public subjects had more self-related thoughts, reported more negative evaluation of …

This paper addresses questions related to effects of source credibility on message acceptance. More specifically, we look at (a) the effects of attributed credibility of the source on message acceptance in situation of source identification versus non‐identification, and (b) the effects of attributed credibility of two competitive sources on the acceptance of their respective messages in positively versus negatively predisposed audiences. Comparisons of perceived influence structure within household decisionmaking units of differing composition revealed substantial variations in patterns of role dominance and response consensus. The result also indicated that although children had relatively little perceived influence on the vacation and accommodation selection decisions studied, they may still affect the outcome of particular choices
