The utilization level of medical resources, health capital and financial asset allocation of middle-aged and elderly households
Addressing the challenges of aging and fostering a healthy China necessitates redefining the socioeconomic role of middle-aged and elderly individuals. Despite the close link between the distribution of household financial assets and financial market stability, few studies have examined the low participation of middle-aged and elderly households in financial markets through the lens of medical resource utilization. This study was conducted to ana…
Home country regulates outbound investment to fulfill human rights obligations-taking China as an example
Restricted by economic and social development conditions and the construction level of the domestic regulatory system, the traditional host country-centered approach makes it challenging to ensure that multinational enterprises fulfil their human rights obligations. The jury is still out on whether international law can directly impose obligations and responsibilities on enterprises. Therefore, the home countries could regulate human rights viola…
The Generalized Conditional Autoregressive Wishart Model for Multivariate Realized Volatility
It is well known that in finance variances and covariances of asset returns move together over time. Recently, much interest has been aroused by an approach involving the use of the realized covariance (RCOV) matrix constructed from high-frequency returns as the ex-post realization of the covariance matrix of low-frequency returns. For the analysis of dynamics of RCOV matrices, we propose the generalized conditional autoregressive Wishart (GCAW) …
A Stochastic Volatility Model With Markov Switching
This article presents a new way of modeling time-varying volatility. We generalize the usual stochastic volatility models to encompass regime-switching properties. The unobserved state variables are governed by a first-order Markov process. Bayesian estimators are constructed by Gibbs sampling. High-, medium- and low-volatility states are identified for the Standard and Poor’s 500 weekly return data. Persistence in volatility is explained by the …
