Preliminary Results of the Archaeological Study of the Taye-1 Quarry Settlement in the Baraba Forest-Steppe in 2024
This paper presents the first results of a geoarchaeological study of the periphery of the Taye-1 Quarry settlement located at the intersection of the hollow-wavy watershed country and the lake-like extension of the left bank of the Tartas River known as the “Taye Tract” on topographic maps. Exploration Works on the Right Bank of the Ob River in 2021
The article describes the results of exploration works in the lower reaches of the Ob (Shuryshkarsky district of the YNAO) in 2021. The coastline of the right bank of the Ob was studied in three main areas: near the villages of Khashgort, Kushevat and the Sormas channel. Geoinformation technologies are applied to an analysis of the living environments of Paleolithic people, using a territory along the route of a future gas pipeline planned for construction in the Altai Mountains as an example. GIS modeling of a paleoenvironment is based on the notion of a paleolandscape's geological and morphological framework. On the Supposedly Young age of Angara Alluvial Sediments Based on the Findings of Salvage Excavations in the Flooding Area of the Boguchany Hydroelectric Plant
Based on the stratigraphy of Paleolithic sites on the northern Angara, the Upper Pleistocene and Holocene history of the region is reconstructed. Findings of recent salvage excavations in the Boguchany flooding zone as well as the evidence of Quaternary geology, geomorphology, neotectonics, and archaeology jointly disprove the “young Angara” model proposed by G.I. We illustrate here the combined use of geographic information system (GIS) technology and a radiocarbon database for analysis of the environmental components and ancient sites in Western Siberia during the period 10–45 ka bp. In total, 230 14 C dates from 75 Late Pleistocene outcrops and Paleolithic sites were used to generate paleolandscape maps and to establish the features of the spatiotemporal distribution of Paleolithic sites
