Multivariate path analysis was used to investigate the causal linkages between independent subsystems composed of user attributes, visit characteristics, perceived site problems, and a dependent subsystem composed of angler preferences for fishery management strategies. Evidence over the past two decades illustrates the continuing stressful relationship between the airport industry and local community. This paper develops a conceptual framework for examining interrelationships among a set of household attributes, a set of cognized noise effects, and behavior.
