Through ethnographic observation of a Parisian bisexual group, and also by comparison with other bisexual organizations in Western countries, this article examines the links between communication strategies and social domination, as well as the visual communications that are used by bisexual activists. In particular, unlike most other minorities, bisexuals have structural and preexisting or immediate difficulties in developing a means of communication using visual images. Consequently, they have difficulty to producing and conveying simple messages in terms of visual representations that can be easily understood by nonbisexual people
