Research Article| June 01 2019 Disability Justice/Stonewall's Legacy, or: Love Mad Trans Black Women When They Are Alive and Dead, Let Their Revolutions Teach Your Resistance All the Time Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha is a queer disabled nonbinary femme writer of Burgher/Tamil Sri Lankan and Irish/Roma ascent. The Lambda Award-winning author of Tonguebreaker, Care Work: Dreaming Disability Justice, Dirty River, Bodymap and other books, and coeditor of The Revolution Starts at Home, since 2009 they have been a lead artist with the disability justice performance collective Sins Invalid. Their next two books, Beyond Survival: Strategies and Stories from the Transformative Justice Movement (coedited with Ejeris Dixon) and Bridge of Flowers, are out in 2020. brownstargirl.org.
