This study presents a description and analysis of Ochollo spatial organization. The densely populated area inhabited by this community covers a single rock. The territorial subdivisions are not just a neutral area where ritual and political processes take place. The author tries to show how, in a real serial, space is « constructed ». The importance assigned to certain places, and the complex use of high/low opposition provide evidence for this process. Thus, space appears to be a basic constituent of ritual and political organization
