What Was Al-Fārābī's 'Imamic' Constitution

This paper seeks to identify the nature of a constitution called 'imamic' by al-Fārābī in one of his lost works, according to Ibn Bāgga and Ibn Rušd. It argues that this constitution was simply the virtuous regime under a different name. Ibn Rušd, who identifies is it in somewhat puzzling terms, must have worked with corrupt version of al-Fārābī's passage.
