This study suggests 11 reasons why agriculture should be included in the Australian Government’s Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (also known as the Australian Emissions Trading Scheme, AETS) and proposes some cost‐effective methods of including agriculture in the AETS. If Australia incorporates agriculture into the AETS, there will be the added benefit of providing global leadership to other major polluting and agricultural commodity exporting countries in developing similar inclusive emissions trading schemes
