With the dynamic development of China’s economic policy since 2013, there has been a growing demand in the labour market of the People’s Republic of China for people fluent in Polish. In response to these needs, Chinese and Polish universities are proposing new majors that prepare students to function in the new reality. The aim of this article is to present a new major proposed a few years ago at the Jagiellonian University, and more specifically to characterise and analyse the curriculum responding to the needs of learners from the Middle Kingdom
