After offering an overview of various kinds of group observation models for therapists in training, this article proposes an elaboration of Berne's (1968) model of staff-patient conferences, in which observers share their observations in front of clients. Indications are given as to the content and process of observation: what to observe, how to observe, and how to describe what has been observed. Advantages are listed both for clients and observers
