Evaluative relativism and the study of deviant behaviour. This article gives a brief exposition of the issue of evaluative relativism in the study of deviant behaviour and suggests that the relativism-absolutism dichotomy actually represents a false dichotomy and should thereforebe replaced by a more valid dichotomy with the following two poles respectively: a moving absolutism vs a fixed absolutism. Furthermore brief attention is paid to the relevance of relativism and absolutism in the study of deviant behaviour after which a few consequences of evaluative relativism are discussed.
