Educação Para as Relações Étnico-Raciais

The present work is, initially, an immersion in my memories of a student who only knew what I read about the “black continent”, impregnated with nebulous descriptions such as the disclosure of horrendous scenarios and violent pests; reasons, therefore, that justified the expedition led by the western colonizers, resulting in the European prosperity that, with the expansionist design, spread to other territories, breaking out as the “cradle” of civilization, in aggravation to the African continent. In this sense, the main objective is to take the African continent as the focus of research, going beyond superficial records. Therefore, it is a study based on the perception of an adult who, today, aware of blackness, prides himself on crossing the old Atlantic towards the historical records of a reliable Africa. At the end of the study, the need for a training policy for diversity is evident, especially considering the perspective of Afro-Brazilian identity and culture, historically marked by silencing and denial in Brazilian schools
