A persistent problem within general science is the difficulty in maintaining a continuous reevaluation of the set of concepts in vogue. In the social sciences, concepts usually refer to sociocultural behavior and are used as models to organize data into manageable proportions on a given level of abstraction. Because of the highly intuitive base for most social science concepts, too often confidence in a given concept is a function of the length of time it has been around and the prestige of the people associated with it. This is especially true for very complex concepts which propose relationships that are difficult to demonstrate empirically. This article is a report of an investigation designed to evaluate such a concept, the method used having general applicability
