Sex-Role Influences on Married Women's Status Attainments

While much is known regarding male status attainments, by comparison less is known regarding such phenomena among married women. In particular, little has been done to try to relate sex roles to these kinds of issues. This paper attempts to make such an application. It is based on data collected from younger, white, married women interviewed at two points in time. The results confirm the idea that sex roles should be included in future studies of married women's status attainments
