The change in processes of Identi-ty is part of a more complex change in society.We thus emphasize Identity as a movement oftransformation apprehended as a process, not asa fixed point of elaboration. Another discussionconcerning cultural identities focuses on the mo-vement of “hybridization”, which based on theconflict between cultural loans and contacts callsfor a reflection on Identity and Difference. Theexample of the 1st Rap and Repente National Me-eting will thus be used to analyze how Identity isproduced by social inter-relations, the reports ofrappers and repente poets on the meeting will beused to consider the proposals of cultural poli-cies by the Ministry of Culture which anticipatecommunication bridges between different cultu-res, but disregard the aspects of cultural differenceand diversity
